More Than Ever, We Need Something Positive. Here’s a Little Something

It’s so easy to get wrapped up in all of the negativity these days. There’s a lot of uncertainty, a lot of unrest, and it seems as if we’re all arguing about everything and anything. Pointing out our differences is easy to do… especially when we forget to check our similarities.

If we look down deep within ourselves, we will probably find that we all want similar things from life. We want love, we want companionship, and in some ways, we want to belong. Our commonalities far outweigh our differences…and maybe…just maybe, if we make a conscious effort to look for those common interests rather that looking at our differences, we can make this place a little more tolerable for one another.

Why are we getting so deep on a Thursday? Great question! Over the last few months, we’ve all had a little extra time to think about things. We here at Special Event Proz tend to frame our thoughts with music, and today, we’ve been thinking about how music has made such a difference in humanity and how it plays such a huge part in our moods. Music can better us…it can make us feel better…it can make us think.

As a result, we thought we’d skip the normal “remember us for your entertainment and event planning needs” style post and do our best to inspire you through vibing with you on some positive tunes.

Here are a few of our favorites:

Not Afraid” by Eminem is a great tune to start this off with. If you need a confidence boost, and something to get you ready to make some positive steps, this one does it.

Once you’ve got that confidence, do as Journey has told us every time we’ve walked into a Karaoke bar. “Don’t Stop Believing”. As kitschy as this tune has become, it’s still a great inspiration.

Now that we’re pumped up, let’s start thinking a little more about changing things for the better. John Lennon’s “Imagine” is a great way to begin doing that.

Will we’re imaging the world as a better as a better place, we should probably also remember that, as USA for Africa told us in the 80’s, “We are the World”.

Not only that, but “What a Wonderful World” it is… and Louis Armstrong is probably the best messenger to remind us of that.

Finally, “Don’t Worry, Be Happy”

Cheesy or not, there are some positive vibes in this world and it’s up to us to find them. Music can guide us, but at the end of the day, it’s up to us. If we strive to do it, we’ll make a better world together…

From us here at Special Event Proz, we hope your have the best day ever.
